Jose Antonio Elgorriaga

Jose Antonio Elgorriaga is the Regional Vice President of Advertising Sales for Univision Communications in Northern California. During his 20+ year tenure at Univision, Jose has held numerous management positions ranging from VP of Sales to General Manager. Jose’s leadership style – influenced by his late father’s soccer coaching legacy – cultivates a team atmosphere where each member complements the others. Among his Univision colleagues nationwide, Jose is infamous for outperforming all other owned-and-operated stations in local market share penetration for the past fifteen years at KTFV-21. Most recently, Channel 21 made history by achieving first place overall ranking in the Fresno marketplace.

A respected business leader within the community, Jose’s business development style is distinguished by corralling “unlikely allies” to the same table to achieve shared goals. Securing creative, grassroots partnerships for clients is Jose’s sweet spot, often leading to multi-stakeholder marketing activations generating nontraditional revenue for the company while advancing many social and economic causes of importance to our Valley.

Jose was born and raised in Fresno. He graduated from Fresno State with a Bachelor of Sciences in Business Administration in 1987 as a dual-sport Division 1 Athlete with a national ranking in tennis and soccer. Prior to joining Univision, Jose founded the promotion company Group One, whose roster of clients included Soccer Promoter Noel Lemon and Naismith Hall of Fame Basketball Coach Jerry Tarkanian. Always intent on giving back to his community, Jose serves as a Board Member at Valley Children’s Hospital, Fresno Office of Education, Playland- Storyland, and now serves on the California Farmworker Foundation.
