Outreach Specialist
My name is María Yazmín González-Andrade, and I was born in Zamora Michoacán México, but I was raised in the Coachella Valley since I was 6 years old. I graduated from Desert Mirage High School and went on to attend the University of California Santa Cruz from which I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology with a minor in Latin American Latino Studies. I was able to pay for college by working in the fields in the summers, which furthered my motivation to come back to my community and give back. By being part of the California Farmworkers Foundation I hope to provide the farmworker community with many resources and opportunities that can improve their lives.
