Building Brighter Futures: CFF and Wings of Knowledge Present at California Cotton Alliance Board Meeting

On November 22nd, the California Cotton Alliance (CCA) Board Meeting brought together key organizations and community advocates in Huron, California. Hosted at the renowned Harris Ranch, the event featured presentations from CFF (Community Family Fund) and Wings of Knowledge (Olinga), showcasing their impactful initiatives aimed at uplifting agricultural communities in the region.

Empowering Communities Through Education and Support

Founded by Vahid Motazedian in 2012, Wings of Knowledge is a visionary program dedicated to empowering youth in California’s agricultural heartlands. Through innovative action-research projects, the program enables students to develop solutions that enhance various aspects of community life.

During the meeting, both CFF and Wings of Knowledge highlighted their shared commitment to improving the lives of farmworkers, their families, and the broader community. CFF emphasized its efforts through programs like the Huron Family Resource Center, a collaborative initiative with the Huron/Coalinga School District designed to meet the unique needs of rural families.

Meanwhile, Wings of Knowledge showcased its hands-on programs for students, equipping them with essential skills in technology and programming—tools vital for thriving in today’s fast-evolving world.

• Alizza (8th Grade)
• Joselyn (8th Grade)
