Annual Pruning Competition

The Annual Pruning Competition serves as a platform to showcase the skill and art of pruning vines that farmworkers possess to yield successful fruit. Participants compete in a timed, individual event that challenges their precision, skillset, and endurance.

On January 19, this year’s event was held in Kern County, where over 30 participants from the Central Valley competed for the title of the best in the San Joaquin Valley. The top-placing individuals were awarded over $3000 in cash prizes. Congratulations to our champions!

Hand to Harvest

The Hand to Harvest event is a celebration of the hardworking hands of farmworkers, agriculturalists, and industry enthusiasts who are dedicated to improving the lives of farming communities throughout California. This yearly event acknowledges the efforts of the CFF in supporting communities, while also honoring individuals and partners who have contributed to the Foundation’s progress.

Hand to Harvest is a fundraiser event that raises much-needed resources for farmworkers and their families, including health and educational resources, food access, and workforce development programs. All proceeds go towards serving hundreds of thousands of farmworkers across the state.

The highlight of the 2nd Annual Fundraiser Event was a 13-item live auction, conducted by Auctioneer Jim Glines, which raised an impressive $66,000. This achievement was made possible by the generous contributions of multiple community and industry supporters, and the event’s proceeds resulted in a total fundraising amount of over $120,000 for farmworker resources.

We would like to express our gratitude to all those who attended the Hand to Harvest event and supported our mission to build better futures for California’s farmworkers. We extend our heartfelt thanks to our partners, community supporters, and donors, whose unwavering support helped make this event a success.

This event would not be made possible without the support of our event sponsors.
