The Civil Assistance Program offers a complimentary self-help service to aid individuals in comprehending various documents and completing forms effectively.

Support Services:

  • Document translation from English to Spanish
  • Public Benefits enrollment
  • Notary
    • Apostilles
    • Jurats
    • Acknowledgement
    • DNR
    • Letters of authorization

Requirements

To be eligible to benefit from CAP, individuals must meet the following eligibilities:

  • Worked in farm labor in the past 6 months to 1 year.
  • Provide verification of current check stub
  • Must make an appointment

Meet Nayeli Heredia (Public Notary)

Nayeli, a first-generation graduate from CSUB, holds a B.A. in Social Science and a Certification in Paralegal Studies. Coming from a family with over 40 years of experience in farm labor, she has triumphed over the challenges often encountered by first-generation students and families. In her four years at the foundation, Nayeli has dedicated herself to developing cost-free educational initiatives for her community. Presently, she is offering support to farmworkers through the Civil Assistance Program in her role as a notary.
