California Farmworker Foundation Hosts Its 3rd Annual Hand to Harvest
On October 5th, 2024, the California Farmworker Foundation (CFF) hosted its 3rd annual Hand to Harvest, a fundraiser event dedicated to its mission to serve and support farmworkers. Held at Evergreen Island event venue in Tulare, CA, the fundraiser brought together supporters from across the state, spanning from Bakersfield to Sacramento, for an evening of inspiring
stories, generous giving, and a shared commitment to building better futures for farmworkers.
The 2024 Hand to Harvest was sponsored by 26 companies, including our Presenting Sponsor, Sunview Vineyards; our Key Sponsor, T-Mobile; and our Gold Sponsors: Agro Labor Services, DLL Insurance Agency, Jaguar Farm Labor Contracting, Vino Farms, and U.S.Bank. This event was made possible thanks to the generous support and commitment of our sponsors.
The evening’s program included a special awards presentation, where CFF honored several of its partners for their dedication to improving the lives of farmworkers. Honorees included Tri Counties Bank, UCSF, Chuck Herrin, Konrad Kuntz, Carmen Gaspar, Jocelyn Torres, and Maribel Alfaro, each of whom has played a crucial role in supporting CFF’s mission.
Adding to the excitement of the night, renowned auctioneer, Pete Melero hosted a thrilling live auction, featuring exclusive items like 4 club seats to a Raiders vs. Chargers game and a 7-night stay for four in Cortona, Italy. One of the highlights of the live auction was a 4-day trip to Mexico that was raffled during the event.
Following the Fund-A-Need, we are thrilled to announce we raised a total of $150,000 to support the essential programs and services the California Farmworker Foundation provides. These funds will directly benefit the farmworker community, helping CFF to provide mobile health clinics, food distributions, and educational workshops to farmworkers across California.
The California Farmworker Foundation extends its deepest gratitude to all our sponsors, partners, and staff who made this event possible. Together, we can build better futures!
