CFF Raised Over $125,000 for California Farmworkers

On October 14, 2023, over 200 agricultural leaders, community supporters, and industry members gathered in Bakersfield for CFF’s Hand to Harvest Fundraising Event. It is an evening to recognize the efforts CFF is accomplishing throughout our farm-working communities, honor individuals and partners who have supported the Foundation’s endeavors, and raise funds so that CFF can continue to grow its footprint and initiatives in the Central Valley and across the state.

The evening featured special remarks from President Joe Garcia, Chairman of the Board, Luis Katsurayama, and Diana Melero, Director of Communications. Guests of honor included Hernan Hernandez, Carina Carrillo, Inaki Guerrero, Family of Matt Pandol, Jr., California Fresh Fruit Association, and T-Mobile.

 The night’s event closed with a 13-item live auction led by Auctioneer Jim Glines that raised over $66,000. Live auction items were generously donated by several community and industry supporters. All proceeds will benefit farmworker programs and services, including health and wellness, education, food access, and workforce development.
